You don't have to shoot before year-end to use this year's budget. You just have to commit to it.
We’re one week into Q4. Somewhere in your organization, someone is deciding whether a budget line gets spent or handed back.
Handing it back isn’t free. Next year’s budget is usually built partly on what got spent this year, so unused money now tends to become a smaller line later.
The timing problem
Q4 is a hard time to schedule a team photo day. Holidays, PTO, and year-end deadlines all fight for the same calendar, so the shoot gets pushed, and the budget usually goes with it.
Meanwhile, January is when you need the images. New hires start, kickoff decks get built, and proposals go out with team pages that still show people who left last spring.
The fix is simple
Book the date now, pay out of this year’s budget, and shoot in Q1.
A 50% deposit at booking holds your date, and the balance is due after delivery. If your budget needs the full amount spent this year, we can do that too.
To get started, all I need is a rough headcount and a window. “Second half of January” is enough.
Decide earlier
A headshot budget is usually a timing problem, not a money problem.
Teams with current headshots aren’t spending more than everyone else. They decide earlier, and they don’t let the calendar decide for them.
One more thing worth checking this week: your company’s Q4 purchasing cutoff. Many land well before December 31.
If your team has been meaning to get this done, tell me the month you’d want new headshots. Drop it in the “How can we help you?” box and I’ll take it from there.
I’ll tell you what holding that date looks like and what I’d need from you to make it easy.
